The ECNC Group, together with ECEAT and NHTV Breda, recently started work on the project ‘Green impetus for holiday destinations’.
The loss of biodiversity, nature and landscape has a negative effect on a destination’s identity and tourism products, resulting in fewer tourists choosing to visit. The Green Impetus project aims to offer ways to deal with this problem. The project will implement, test and refine a number of existing programmes that provide destinations with a structured way to improve and further develop their sustainability. One such programme is the QualityDestination programme developed by the ECNC Group. The programmes will be tested in a number of pilot destinations.
This project is financed by the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and will run for 13 months.
