What are the main factors limiting the implementation of ICZM principles at the local level in Europe? To support research conducted within the EU-funded project SECOA (Solutions for Environmental Contrasts in Coastal Areas, www.projectsecoa.eu), a short online survey has been developed to assess what are the main factors limiting the implementation of the eight principles of ICZM at the local level. SECOA is investigating how conflicts in urban areas, resulting from the interactions between human mobility, socio-economic drivers and the effects of climate change on coastal environments, can be managed through sustainable urban planning. Understanding the main difficulties practitioners face in implementing ICZM at the local level is essential to identify ways to better manage land use conflicts and enhance adaption to both climate and socio-economic change. Please collaborate with our research by completing the short survey (5-7 minutes) at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5PF9PTM.
